Remembrance Day ceremonies in the Netherlands were interrupted today after someone in the crowd yelled "bomb" during two minutes of silence. The chaos resulted in a stampede that saw 63 people wounded, many suffering from broken legs. According to the dutch news site De Telegraaf and De Volkskrant, the stampede occurred after a man dressed in traditional Orthodox Jewish garb cried "Bomb! Bomb! Run!" The man yelled the warning during a two minutes of silence during a vigil. With today's population being ever fearful of terror acts, the warning was enough to send the crowd running. Security officials also escorted Queen Beatrix, her son Crown Prince Willem-Alexander and his wife Princess Maxima to safety. A video posted on YouTube (the video is in dutch) shows some of the action, however the commenter seems unaware of what was going on. According to Reuters, police are holding the man responsible for causing the panic in custody. As Reuters reports, "The 39-year-old man, would also be charged for injuries incurred as well as for disturbing public order at Tuesday's ceremony, warranting his continued detention, the prosecutor's office said." The Netherlands hold an annual World War II Remembrance Day ceremony every May 5. In recent years, Remembrance Day also honors soldiers and others who died in more recent conflicts.

Would you mortals find life more interesting if everything is all unicorns and rainbows or some would say 'honky-dory'. Humans crave for the best and the worst in life as an example to orientate where they are in this world to better manage their lives. They may feel sad about the terrible things that happen around them, but really, it's the only way humans will learn that everything have its comeuppance but even when it's happening right in front of their eyes, some still don't get it. When someone points it out to them, they think everyone is ganging up on them and trying to bring them down.

Think about it Meatpie. Would you love the people you care about more if you never worry about them being safe? Would you love yourself more if everything is fine? It's OK to accept that the world is a bad place or that it's a good place with horrible things within it, but it's not OK to accept that the terrible things that are happening are acceptable to happen in the first place. I assume you had this type of philosophy all this time more or less, right? Anyway, there are good things in life like devotion, tolerance, ice-lollies and huggies. Those are some of the stuff that I think worthwhile anyway, even if they are a little dull to some people. I hope your philosophy in life is not really a quick once over, and then croak because that doesn't even make sense. People will miss you.
