ARROW THE UNITED STATES IS SINKING INTO ITS DEEPEST RECESSSION IN HISTORY.

Unemployment in Chicago area is sky-high.

All my Bulgarian friends lost their jobs, I got a recent email from them.

They don't know what to do and want to move to California.

But dudes from California say it is even worse there!

WTF is going on. Not all roses at all.

Chicago is a great city, I have had the pleasure of visiting there several times, and enjoyed myself each and every time :)

That was in 2009 Arrow.

2010 is the year of the Great Depression. The world is slipping into the biggest recession in history, countries have insane budget deficits!!!

Hospitals here declare bankruptcy.

The only country in the EU that is relatively unaffected by this recession is the Netherlands.

Enty is so proud of his nation and thinks he is safe in Breda.

But nowhere is safe.

Does our friend Enty now that Greece is sinking, no money to pay for anything and the country is on the verge of collapse.

Greece is in the Eurozone and any turmoil there will sink the euro, so it affected everyone in the EU if one state fails.

I have a nasty feeling that I am also living in a failing state, people here are organizing riots but against who?

There are no money in the budget, hospitals are closing down, shops even!!!

I uploaded a video today:

Hey Pie...

YES, I saw your vid and could not believe it. But Pie, that is some off the way mall, right...like sorta a fizzle dizzle kinda mall all along?

Because there was much empty space, like it had not been totally built. It was not a major mall or grocery store, was it?

I mean, in your downtown of Sofia, you have shoppers, lots of grocery stores with good variety of foods, right?

And also, for those who become unemployed, you do have UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS, right?

Like here in the USA, those "laid off" from jobs get checks twice a month from the Federal Government via the various U S State Unemployment programs, which usually come to about $1400/mo with an extra $50/mo in harder hit states, with greatly reduced health insurance costs called COBRA.

Not a lot of dollars by U S standards, but with savings it helps while looking for new work which new jobs are beginning to open up here again in the USA.

You do have such benefits as unemployment benefits, right?

Dear friend, thank you for your reply.

My cousins worked in construction for two years. Their boss told them they have contracts and insurance.

Last year they lost their jobs. They wanted to aks for unemployment benefits but they are only given to those who have worked.

It turned out their boss had lied to them.

So no benefits, no help from the government no nothing. People here are starving.

A lot of people are like that, we are a failed state.

Unemployment benefits here are $50 a month.

I so hope the US pulls out of this misery so that the world economy could grow again, I don't want China to take over.

I want the US to prosper but you are so fucked right now it is unbelievable.

In Europe it is very complicated, there are still independent countries but we are so tight together if one country sinks it drags first its neighbours with it, then the rest of the Union.

I still have a job, I am getting all my benefits and the stores are full and still selling prudce. Shoppers are happy, people are having more faith in the economy, so people spend more money.
About Greece. There are many budget cuts and aid programs going there, to pull them back out of the mud.

I feel safe and happy here :)

Things have been better in California but the weather is usually perfect and I'm 45 minutes from the beach and Hollywood. Even with the problems, I'm glad I'm here. Viva Palm Springs!

Hey PieMan....

Only $50 a month in unemployment benefits ??

Do you receive this help from the government,
I hope !!

DAMN, things really are badd in Bulgaria !

I am sooo sorry !! :sm (41)::sm (41):

It is bad everywhere I don't care anymore. I thought my friends from Bulgaria who moved to the US would have a better chance in life...but as I said I got a recent email - all unemployed and they don't have a place to live.

One girl cleans houses and the owners give her a temporary shelter so that she doesn't freeze in the brutal blizzards in the US.

They want to move to California - as if anyone is waiting for them.

And one family friend is in LA, he is 28 and doesn't have a permanent job, he has became a drug addicit. His siter lives in Paris and his parents are in Sofia.

I also have friends in Charlotte North Carolina. The husband lost his job and the wife is working in a WalMart several kilometres away.

Their son who graduated university in Charlotte is unemployed.

I hope he finds a job.

These are real people I know and we were together only a few months ago so from what I heard from that, absolutely not roses in the US.

In the video from your taxi there was hardly anyone on the streets, not much to do in this small town now is there?

Au contraire,

We ride per day 6,000 rides!!!

During the weekends, that number increaes to 8 to 10,000 rides per day!!

There is always something to do!!
