My country is very seismically active. The strongest earthquake for the last 150 years was in Bulgaria, 7.9 near a small town called Kresna.

Today there was a 5.1 earthquake in the Black Sea which was felt throughout the region and generated a small tsunami.

Holidaymakers left the beach in panic.

Last year, there was a 4.3 earthquake in Sofia which struck as I was browsing the forum and rattle my PC.

There have been several devastating earthquakes from 1900 to 2009, all of them magnitude 7 on the Richer scale or above.

My country is doomed because the African plate is colliding with Europe. The tension in the earth's crust will lead to massive earthquake the likes of which europe has never seen in its history.

The Alps are actually the northern border of Africa, they were raised by the same process.

My country, together with Greece will be raised higher than Mount Everest at possibly 13,000 or even 14,000 metres.

When this process is finished, this will be the tallest mountain on earth.

This will have a drastic effect on climate throughout Europe.

Italy is also going to be raised and the mediterranean sea will close...giving rise to the mediterranean mountains - highest the world has ever seen.

I must leave either to Northen Europe, Russia or the US.

The Eurasian plate is stably floating and is nowhere being subducted. North America is also an option bar tornadoes, hurricanes and the San Andreas.

Don't know what to do.

When the big earthuake in Turkey struck in 1999 I was on a vacation near Istanbul.

Violent shaking went on and on for more than 40 sec.

I offer some pics from Bulgaria. All this landscape will be mangled by plate tectonics.

This is the Balkan mountain, after which the whole peninsula was named.

The entire area is expetced to be absolutely devastated by a major earthquake.

Town of Veliko Turnovo - lies
precariously directly on a fault line and is expected to be razed to the ground my a major event sometime in the future.

Problem is no one can say with certainty when exactly the big one will strike.

What do you think?

About Bulgaria in general and about plate tectonics, natural disasters and future of the earth?

Will humans survive these future catastrophes?

Who knows what the future brings.

Everything is possible.

Maybe they will find something against earthquakes in the future, with better building codes and better materials.

Nothing works against the most powerful force on earth - plate tectonics.

We never get anything exciting here like that, the only time the eart moves for me is when i'm shaggin.

lol

One more reason why I will move to Stotland.

What about possible tsunami in the atlantic?

You said you lived on a hill?

Is it high enough?

Better not move to here then, I am 1 meter above sealevel....

A big tsunami would engulf my country all the way up to Eindhoven.

I would be dead before I knew what hit me, and no chance of escaping.

But I am not gonna move, if it happens, it happens...

I live in one of the highest areas in scotland and the sea is 50 miles away so no danger of drowning.

Eh beautiful pics meaty.
I use to live in France.
God, It gets alot of Lighting.....lots of ighting deeaths.

You love this phase "if it happens, it happens".

Well one day it will happen.

Hope it doesn't in our life time but natural disasters are big killers.

The Asian Tsunami was the third strongest on record and unleashed so much energy the whole earth vibrated.

Thats insane if you think about it.

We are like ants on a big rotating rock.

Excellent. You are pretty safe them...unless you get killed in a fight with a neighbours or die in wreck.

Check out my lightning video from yesterday, I posted it on youtube.

See where I live.

-Goes to check it out-

Hmmm

Well in the US,
The west Coast, Death By Earth Quake, Esp. in California.
In the South West, Death by Heat Wave.
In the MidWest, Death by Tornado.
In the South, South East, Death by Hurricane.
In the North East and east coast death by Tsunami.

Anyone want to take bets?

Who cares Meatpie? You are shit, you are nothing. Who cares what going to happen with your stupied ass?

Awwww hahahah Opasan.
Thats not very nice

I have a great ass and unlike you I have fucked lots of dudes and went to a real morgue, seen a real autopsy up close and personal.

All you do is chat up Serb guys on MSN and take pics of feet in the supermarket.

Then log in to cdg and flame meatpie.

How boring is that?

You used to post great shit, what the fuck is wrong with you? :sm (41):

Yes, it is a life's saying these days for me.

I love it, it has a nice ring to it!!

really very nice photo, Bulgaria is a country with great green valley, I am sad for the future of your country and the rest of the world......:sm (20):

Thanks friend. France will also experience strong eathquakes as the African plate continues to push further into Europe.

Eh,
Thats when I will probally have alot of friends and familly deaths Y_Y
Eh {adopts Entilz phrase}

EarthQuakes don't bother me. I'm from California. I'm uses to them.
Anything under 6pt is just a friendly nudge.

I'ts kinda of fun to be in a small earthquake in LA. You can really tell who the tourist are as they panic, run and try and hide from everything helter skelter as it happens. Plus it's really funny after they sit down and you start to shake their chair. (hahahahahaha)

What Meat Pie is trying to say is that eventually his country will be squashed, torn apart and thrusted upwards and down due to the natural violence of these plates and in its place a huge new mountain range.

In the meantime when the big one does hit, whole hills and mountains will collapse into landslides killing countless of people. Countless people will be trapped an isolated after earthquake due to roads and hills and mountains destroyed, the Vuclcha dam may even collapse (got any info on the type of land the dam is sitting on?).

Majority of the old traditional houses will be destroyed, accounting for majority of live lost.

Sofia would be hit hard and may even turn into another Haiti.

Meat Pie has a right to be scared cos when the big one hits, it is going to be BIG!!!!!

Meat Pie, when is Bulgaria going to relocate?:cute wink:

Is the earth going to survive? Here is my answer....
