Everyone on this site needs Darkside from time to time...including the admins.

I need your help man. I have 100 GB of diskspace but almost full with movies, games and...lots of lots and cute dead guys.

I need to move my collection to CDs....but I don't know what programme to use...:(

Can you recommend me one, I know you have a large collection on disks.

I am afraid not to fuck it up.

What disks should I buy?

How long does it take to move hundreds of images?

Is there a risk that some pics might be lost in the process?

Stupid questions I know, but I have no experience with this.

Hi Meatpie
I always use TDK CD- R 80, Each disc only holds 700 MB, these discs may be limited on memory, but they have never let me down and always play time after time , it does mean that you have to split up your collection in to folders of around or below the 700 MB size, but this does mean you wont loose anything.
Image files are realy quite small and depending on your computer memory it should only take a few mins to copy the files to disc, films like one episode of morbitech will take around four to five mins. This may be quite slow but if you try to use some of the faster transfer programmes, often quality or even parts of the film are lost. It's best to stick with the standard windows softwear for writing to disc, it may be slightly slower but it is reliable.
hope this helps cheers Darkside

I just use the standard windows XP softwear, with the normal copy to disc function.
