Definitely not a good year for Japan

Japan has a long history of devastating earthquakes and typhoons yet people fail to learn from their past, they should build their coastal towns higher up, what happened in March was a disaster unseen in history, just the scale of the devastation is still hard to comprehend.

When Tokyo gets hit by the big one it will be pandemonium.

Tokyo, LA and Istanbul are disasters waiting to happen.

I was on the Black sea coast during the 1999 Izmit earthquake, it struck in the middle of the night and was so violent we got thrown out of our beds.

You are never really prepared for these things, there is no warning.
