I made some Frikadeller for dinner today, or "kufte" as its called here.

Is this popular in the US and Britain? Very common here.

I also made potato salad. They sell all these in shops but home-made is best.

I am gonna be a fattie now!!!

Where's the pics of you stuffing them in your mouth?

I've never heard of that. I'm sure it was tasty. I favorited the link you posted. I want to try the Rød Grød med Fløde. I like sweets too much. I just made corn pudding.

Oh, ok. I'll photograph what's left. I brought it to work to share.

We also have a dish called Frikandel ;)

But it is more an elongated sauasge roll, fried in oil and usually eaten with currysaus, mayonaise and onions.
Called "Frikandel Speciaal"

Here's a pic ;)

in germany (north) we call them "frikadelle" and they're popular, the same way you eat them (potato salad) yummy!

I think they're called Koftas here. Aren't they either a meat based or chickpea (garbanzo beans) based patty that's eaten with some sort of a yogurt sauce?

Koftas are usually minced meat with onions sometimes you can make them but with mashed potatoes but....with beans? :wdaphack:

Never heard of a kofta from beans, sorry.:stick:

Suely, if you do them with chick peas instead of meat they are called falafels? I like Frikadelle, you can get them in UK supermarkets.
I also like 'Ants climbing a tree', which is a new Chinese dish that I've been cooking a lot.......wait for it....
